I think everyone`s had on of these days.
Haru sighed as he sat at the table and recalled the events of the day.
He woke up this morning and found out that he didn`t have any cloths to wear, because the washer was broken. After picking out something that didn`t look or smelled dirty and skipping breakfast, because he was later for school. Haru had tripped down the stairs and fell the rest of the way down, landing hard on his back.
School was no better. In choir his voice kept cracking until he ended up losing it in the middle of the song and in Earth Science they went out side and he ended up putting four kids, including himself in the nurses office, because he accidentally earth bended them across the school yard and got into a fight with on of them.
Then Haru spent half a class in Principal Zhao`s office getting chewed out for what he did and a lecture on how it was bad for him to be hanging out with Sokka and Zuko and how they will rune his life. I hang out with them so I can be closer to Katara.
The rest of his school day went the same. On the way home Haru bended seven rocks into seven different car windows, one was belonging to Principal Zhao. That earned him another lecture.
Getting home, he slammed his finger in the door and had to look threw his cloths for something clean-ish to wear to work, for he had spilt everyone`s lunch on him during school, just by sitting down at the table. Sighing he slipped on a cleaner shirt and thought, Maybe some of Zuko`s bad luck rubbed off on me.
Work was the worst. Haru managed to spill tomato sauce all over him and dumped two buckets of mop water before he was able to clean up the mess. He also managed to break four glasses, three plates, three trays and a pitcher. Haru also had to remake someone`s pizza several times, each time burning it completely black.
He tore six bleach rags while cleaning tables. Almost caught the kitchen on fire when he tried to take a pizza out of the oven.
As the day started to end Haru was carrying a tray of pizza and drinks out to a table, when he tripped and spilt the whole tray on the person in front of him.
“I`m sorry.” He apologized as he started picking up the pieces.
With a sigh the person said, “It`s alright.”
Haru looked up to see Zuko standing in front of him, covered with pizza, soda and tea, which was ice tea so it wasn`t hot.
With a laugh Iroh said, “Looks like some of my nephew’s luck is rubbing off on those around him.”
Standing Haru offered Zuko a towel and went with him to the bathroom to clean up.
Scowling at his Uncle Zuko headed to the bathroom with Haru. Which to Haru`s horror ended up just a bad because he ended up breaking the sink and spraying water every where soaking both of them.
Apologizing again Haru, who had decided to bring several changes of cloths with him, offered to lone Zuko some drier cloths. On his way to get his bag from the back, he ended up spilling bleach water over another worker as well as himself and all over the floor.
After cleaning up the mess he had made, he grabbed his bag and headed back to the bathroom with some towels for them to dry off with.
Walking into the bathroom Haru said, “Sorry, it has just been one of those days where one bad thing happens after another.”
Zuko laughed slightly, “Welcome to my world.”
Haru let out a small laugh as he handed Zuko some dry cloths and the two boys changed.
Walking out of the bathroom Zuko moaned as he saw his Uncle and sister sitting at the table, “Well at least I don`t have to eat Uncle Iroh`s cooking tonight.”
“Is he that bad?” Haru asked
Zuko looked at Haru as if he had just asked to dumbest thing he had ever heard. “If you like a rainbow colored dinner that doesn`t even look like food.”
Haru laughed, “Well then it`s a good thing your eating out today.”
Zuko agreed and the two of them talked for awhile about school and how bad Uncle Iroh`s cooking really was. After some time Haru had to go back to work and Zuko had to go home.
After closing Haru sat at one of the tables and sighed as he thought about the events of the day. Laying his head on the table he thought, I hope tomorrow will be better.
