Sokka's face split into a wicked grin. "Oh, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. We're taking Chemistry this year, which means making bombs is an assignment. Not to mention all the trouble we get into without meaning too. I'm thinking of getting Zula in on some of it this year. She's real buddy-buddy with most of the teachers."

Katara laughed, "Just make sure you don't get suspended!" She then paused and thought to herself for a moment before asking quietly, "You really think Zula would help?"

Sokka's grin faultered momentarily, but he continued on in a bright voice. "Sure she would. I mean, she hasn't been so bad the last year or so since..." here Sokka glanced at Zuko meaningfully before continuing, "and, anyway, she loves to cause trouble more than anyone else I know- Aang included. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to help!"

Katara shook her head again, "Just make sure you don't get in too much trouble," she flashed her brother and Zuko a teasing grin, "I don't think Dad or Iroh want to make another visit to the school, at least not this early in the year."

Zuko returned the grin before turning to his friend once more. "Did we honestly do all of that last year...it seems like it's an awful lot." Zuko said, before soaking in what Sokka was planning to do the principal this year. "By the way Sokka, should we really encourage the hatred of the principal on us? Not mention Zula, are you sure she would help? Maybe she likes acting like an angel around the teachers." Zuko said, sticking out his tounge and making a comical face.

"Not last year, year before that. Besides, it's not encouraging, it's extracting justice. If he's going to blame us for everything anyway, we might as well do some of it." Sokka shrugged and looked back at his sister. "Dad should be used to it by now. He's done it every year since third grade."

Katara crossed her arms in front of her, "Yeah, like you've been grounded for part of every year since third grade because of your desire to 'extract justice'?"

"What's a little grounding compared to the betterment of society? If I must be a martyr than so be it!" Sokka leaned against the nearby locker and continued to look at his sister. "Seriously though, Katara, if you need anything just let me know. I know it's rough starting a new school and leaving all your younger friends behind. You'll make new ones in no time though."

Arisa shut her locker door and turned around to see a short girl standing in the middle of the hallway, her eyes glazed over. She walked up to the girl and pulled her from her dream-like trance with an abrupt:
"Hey, are you gonna stand there like a dweeb all day or what?"

Katara smiled and pat her brother on the shoulder, "I'm sure I'll be just fine Sokka." She looked up and down the hall, noticing for the first time other freshmen like her, not quite sure how to act in the new surroundings, but excited nonetheless. "Besides," she added with a smirk, "If nothing else I'll bother you and your hot-headed friend here."

Zuko grinned at his friends drama before also turning to the smaller girl. "You don't have to worry about that Katara. Sokka and I both know how active you are. You're a social butterfly, you'll fit right in. And by that I don't mean litterally slamming into them like Sokka and I did." Zuko laughed before making a face. "I'm not that hot-headed, just because I'm a firebender..."

Meng squeaked in surprise. The girl with the short brown hair had just popped out of nowhere.
"Oh, I was staring into space?"
Her expression changed to one of dislike when the other girl snorted, "Uh, yeah."

"Which is," Sokka explained, "actually not a recommended course of action. Seniors tend to not take kindly to that. And yes, Zuko, you are that hot-headed."

Zuko shuddered at the thought. "I don't think I've been upside down so many times in my life." The teen turned to stick his tounge out at his friend before leaning on the locker next to him.

"So, are you lost or something? This is Daisuke Middle School. Shouldn't you be at your elementary school?" Arisa asked the shorter girl. She just had to be in fourth grade.
